The build-up, the anticipation and the interruptions that forced Darcy and Coop into slowing down making their first encounter that much more volatile and enjoyable. I very much enjoyed the Darcy’s zany friend, Trina and her harebrained scheme to become a private investigator by observing the people on the beach and eventually tailing one she was suspicious of getting the two women into way more trouble than they ever expected. What I loved most about this book was the easy and amusing banter between Darcy and Coop. I think that Darcy needed to go into the ocean again to cool off, only I don’t think that Cooper would be any help as he would be right behind her cooling off as well. What I was not laughing about was Darcy and Cooper’s romance. They were not that good at investigating but it made for entertaining reading with funny laughs. They were like the wannabe Nancy Drew and friend. I had so much fun with Darcy and Trina and all the trouble that they found themselves in. I have read several books by this author and enjoyed them.
